Our Story

It started with a letter that came too late

Founder · Texas Attorney · Veteran

Years ago — before I ever became an attorney — I hired one of the big registered agent services to handle my new business. One October, a letter finally reached me. The state had mailed it back in May, giving me a short window to file a required report or lose my company. My agent forwarded it more than five months late. By the time I opened it, my business had already been terminated.

That failure cost me, and it stuck with me. When I later became a licensed Texas attorney, I kept seeing the same thing happen to other owners — a lawsuit or a state notice that arrived too late, or never at all. So I built the registered agent I wish I'd had.

Longhorn Agent is Texas-only and deliberately small. Your documents come to a real Round Rock address, get scanned and sent to you the same business day, and a real person — me, or my colleague Jeff — makes sure the urgent things reach you in time. It's a separate business from my law practice, priced at a flat $89 a year, and it exists for one reason: no one should lose their company to a letter that showed up too late.

What We Stand For

Our commitments to you

Speed Matters

Legal deadlines don't wait. We scan and upload every document the same business day it arrives — not the next day, not when we get around to it.

🤝
Transparency Always

The price you see is the price you pay. No surprise fees, no annual price hikes, no upsell calls. We think business relationships work better that way.

🏠
Texas Focused

We serve Texas entities only. That means we know Texas Secretary of State requirements, Texas franchise tax rules, and Texas compliance inside and out.

Texas Law

What Texas requires

Under the Texas Business Organizations Code, every Texas LLC, corporation, limited partnership, and other registered entity must maintain a registered agent with a physical street address in Texas. A PO box is not sufficient.

The registered agent's role is to receive service of process (lawsuits) and official government correspondence on behalf of your entity. If your registered agent can't be reached — or you don't have one — your entity can be forfeited by the Texas Secretary of State.

Longhorn Agent LLC is fully authorized to act as a registered agent in the State of Texas. Our address is a real physical location in Round Rock, Texas, fully compliant with Texas Secretary of State requirements.
